Francophonie 2019: On the occasion of French Language Celebration Week the Consulate General of Switzerland in Mumbai and Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts present Christian Tszhanz live in concert with guitarist Andreas Sigrist. Tschanz’s new album `Glendora’ is a mixture of pop, rock and folk with chanson influences. This performance is happening together with Sigrist for the first time in India. Tscahnz will also share his memories, stories and reflections on his new album. Venue: Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts amphitheatre, Altinho, Panaji. Date: March 19. Time:6.45pm. Gos Swimathon 2019: This mega sporting event is all set to make a splash in swimming with a record 581 participants from the country over. It’s organized by Enduro Sports Goa and is an annual event in its 9th edition this year. Leading the challenge are 177 swimmers from Mumbai, 140 from Bengaluru, 54 from Pune, 30 from host state Goa; the youngest participant is Nishka Sangani (8 years) from Mumbai and senior most woman participant is Kety Patel (71) of Pune, there’s also BR Gopal Rao (72) of Bengaluru. Also hoping to have some fun and create records are a group of physically challenged swimmers. Venue: Bambolim Beach, Bambolim. Date: March 23 & 24. Time: Enduro Sports Goa, Panaji.
