Goa Anti-Tobacco Film Festival Competition: This is the third such festival hosted by Entertainment Society of Goa in association with the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Goa Dental College & Hospital. The competition is in two sections – Goa-based and national sections. Goa section invites no more than 2-minute films in Konkani, Marathi, Hindi or English languages, produced by Goan producers, production houses, locals, students studying in Goa and educational and social institutions. National section ad films should be only in Hindi or English and no more than 2-minute films made by Indian nationals. Award winning films will be used in anti-tobacco promotions and campaigns across theatres/TV channels, schools, colleges and other government department programs as also Internet. Interested participants may fill in registration forms and submit them latest by April 30. Get forms, rules and regulations on www.esg.co.in. Last date with supporting documents is May 15. Prizes of from `20,000 to `1 lakh to be won! 3rd Goa Anti-Tobacco Film Festival screening is scheduled for May 31.
Solo Dance Competition: This is an All Goa Solo Dance Competition organized by the Giants Group of Porvorim, it is open to children below 15 years. Cash prizes to be won from Rs1,000 to Rs5,000. Celebrate Gudi Padwa: A Marathi talk show titled `Man Kara Re Prasanna’ by Dr Sanjay Upadhye from Pune. The show takes you through the ups and downs of daily life and ways to overcome the downs. Program Wheatgrass: The Panjim YMCA Panjim is hosting a wheatgrass benefits workshop in ordination with its Senior Citizens Guild under the leadership of Angelo Pais (chairperson, Senior Citizens) and Mrs Olivia.
