EVENTS FOR THE ISSUE DATED 21ST SEPTEMBER 2019

Konkani Travelogue: ‘DHARTARE VOILO SARG’

Konkani Travelogue, ‘Dhartare Voilo Sarg’ written by Mrs Sushanta Datta Naik, was released at a function at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao by Mrs Uma Mahesh Rao on September 17, 2019. In his presidential speech Prof Madhav Kamat said that the simple, lucid and flowing style of the author is really praiseworthy. The travelogue takes the reader across 26 fascinating countries. The author has painted vivid natural beauty and also dwelled on the cultural diversity of the people. Such travelogues are the need of the hour to tempt people to travel within the country and abroad. It is only after travelling a person’s outlook broadens, said Prof Madhav Kamat. The book is published by Bimb Prakashan. Publisher Dilip Borkar gave the welcome speech and Mrs Saloni Chirag Naik gave the vote of thanks.
