MEGA NATUROPATHY CAMP

If you are serious about lifestyle changes do it the Naturopathy way first! This is really a festival of preventive healthcare sponsored by the Ministry of AYUSH and National Institute of Naturopathy (Pune) who bring to Panaji one of their mega Naturopathy camps to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Celebrate the benefits of Naturopathy, understanding Gandhiji’s way of life and what defines the real good life. Lined up are cookery classes, learn all about the goodness of Indian millets, vegetable and fruit art and craftwork, how to get fit fasting, temple foods of India, organic food concepts, the importance of eating au natural and much more. Venue: Kala Academy premises, Campal Promenade, Panaji. Date: Monday/Sept30 to Oct1. Time: regular hours. Details: Get a copy of the program at the venue; Tuesday morning 9am there is a cycle rally, walkathon, human chain; 12 noon yoga competitions, post-lunch a talk on the importance of walking and much more. Wednesday/Sept2 is Gandhi Jayanti and tributes will be paid to the father of the nation.

Ramponkarachem Ani Vodekaran-chem Fest 2019: Join in this fun-filled festival celebrating true blue Goan culture and traditions, plus participate in the Ramponkarachem Pasoi from the Arambol Church. Venue: Arombol Beach, north Goa. Date: Sunday/Sept 29. Time: 10am onwards

WORKSHOPS
Breaking Barriers: According to the Sixth Economic Census in India only 14% business in India is run by women, much lower than in most countries globally. But Indian women are fast taking to entrepreneurship and looking for new opportunities to be financially secure and happy. Benefit from this program. Writing Workshop: Joao Roque Literary Journal and Bookworm have organized a day of writing workshops on `Words and Verse’ for children and adults above 15 years. There’s a writing fiction workshop with Jessica Faleiro from 10am to 1.30pm to learn basics of writing fiction including story arc and characterization; writing poetry with Rochelle D’Silva from 2.30pm to 6pm to learn how to write poetry for the page and performance through exercises and feedback. EVENTS
Magnify: The Department of Travel & Tourism, Don Bosco College, conducts this inter-collegiate event annually to mark World Tourism Day, this year’s theme is `Tourism & Jobs’ for a better future in Goa. Program features several competitions in photography, quizzing, audience events, masquerade fashion show and chief guest invitee is Pamela Mascarenhas. Venue: Institute Menezes Braganza , Panaji. LANGUAGE COURSES
Learn Portuguese: The Goa University now offers a Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese introduced as per Ordinance OB-15.
