SAATH SAATH: The mega rally against the CAA last Friday at Azad Maidan brought together all the minority groups in the state

This fight today is not just about CAA, NPR and NRC. It is bigger than all the fights our freedom fighters have fought against the British before our Independence. Bigger than even the 1974 Nav Nirman Movement led by the great Jayaprakash Narayan. The fight is against the conspiracy by the BJP to convert India into a Hindu nation in violation of the Constitution.

Each and every aspect of this Big Fight has been discussed in media but not in a cohesive way. What I intend to do is put it all together and reveal the larger and truly scary picture of where we are headed.
First and foremost, please get it out of your heads that our protests all over India have made a huge dent in the BJP/RSS agenda. Perhaps they have moved back an inch, on a back-foot. Some say the BJP was not ready for the magnitude of protests. Some say these protests, especially the Shaheen Bagh style sit-in protests are spreading all over, and will compel the BJP to withdraw this terrible law and stop the implementation of NRC and NPR.
They could be right. It could happen. But I have my reservations about this.
Even if it happens, would it be a victory that we can celebrate? I don’t think so. And I will explain why.
There is a much larger game being played by the BJP and RSS – something they are extremely good at. Modi-ji keeps clarifying that NRC was never discussed and that the CAA is not intended to hurt the Muslims. You all know that BOTH ARE LIES.
Many BJP leaders and even one Central Minister of State have confessed that they were not anticipating such huge protests. Paswan, an ally, states that the NPR may remove information on parents. Shah keeps telling us that regardless of the protests he will not withdraw CAA. He continuously blames the Congress and other parties for spreading misinformation and accuses them of being behind these people driven protests around the country. Then the vicious Yogi says he will punish anyone who says Azaadi, that it will be taken as sedition!
To defy him today, repeat after me …. Hum mange, Azaadi.
Get this clear, and I urge you never to forget this, that Amit Shah is an excellent and shrewd planner. He with his team have planned all their moves that led to their 2014 victory as well as the bumper win in 2019. For every move, he has plan A and B and C.
If the protests continue, Shah could most probably suspend CAA. Please note the term used is SUSPEND not withdraw or abrogate. He is too stubborn and will not abrogate CAA or roll back the NPR and NRC. He truly does not care how much you protest and the reason for this is that it is too big a part of the bigger agenda to make India into a Hindu Rashtra.
And I will tell you why.
People have been asking many logical questions like how many detention camps will be made, what will be their cost, whether it will be exorbitant, whether this country cannot afford it, etc. But while it is true that some detention camps have been built, that is only for show. The really aim of CAA, NPR and NRC is to disenfranchise as many Muslims as possible – which means to remove them from the voters list, because they don’t vote for the BJP. You may have noticed that Dalit leaders like Jignesh Mevani, an MLA from Gujarat, Chandrashekhar Azad Ravana, Prakash Ambedkar and his son Sujat have all launched big movements against the CAA and NRC. Why do you think they are doing this? It is because they strongly suspect that these laws also intend to snatch away voting rights from the Dalits, SC and ST, by declaring them as illegal immigrants.
Though the BJP constantly woos the Dalits, SC and ST, they are ultimately a Brahmin Party, they believe in the caste or Varna system which excludes recognition of Dalits and the Tribal. They woo to get their vote but they have never really cared for their welfare despite the RSS boasting of their affiliated outfits that work with these under-privileged. Let me also add that women will be very big victims, since the RSS ideology allots women a place lower than animals.

So the real aim of CAA, NPR and NRC is to get rid of as many non-BJP voters as possible. Do you remember what happened with Demonitisation? It broke the back of our economy, it destroyed small businessmen. This is demonitisation of human beings. Just as Hitler broke the back of the German economy before he brought atrocities against the Jews, Modi is doing the same. Pehley Note bandhi hui, ab vote bandhi hoyegi.
Detention centers that have already been built will be used as a scaring tactic to subdue people. Let me explain how: once declared as illegal, your voting rights will go away. After that, if you protest, you will be threatened to be put in a detention camp if you protest. What will you choose? To remain as declared illegal but not go to a detention center. Therefore, the sword of detention center will be used to subdue future protests. Let me also add that declaring people as illegal would be easy because it is mostly the underprivileged and poor people who don’t have the required documents. 52% Indians as of today don’t have their own birth certificates, forget about certificates of their parents and grandparents. The upper castes will spend money and get the required documents made – though some poorer sections among them will also fail and be removed as voters.
That would be considered collateral damage, a calculated result that the BJP has planned to sacrifice. Let that sink in for a moment. After all, there is no other party in India that is more obsessed with vote bank politics other than the BJP.
Let me explain this to you in terms BJP’s current vote share. BJP won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections with 37.36% votes, without counting their allies’ vote share. If they get rid of even 20% Muslim, Dalits, SC and ST from the voting list, this 37.36% vote share will grow overnight to 47.36% percent, which will allow them to rule this country for over 50 years, something Amit Shah promised us not so long ago.
Once this is achieved, then begins the Modi/Shah/RSS endgame. They will bring in their version of Common Civil Code, Law on Population Control, Anti-Conversion Law, Internet laws that will invade our privacy, etc. Total control and finally a Police State. The end game is not only to achieve what Hitler did in Germany, but create the foundations of a sustainable and long-term Nazi regime.
That is why I say today, IT IS A BIG FIGHT and not just a fight against the implementation of CAA, NPR and NRC. Once you get this picture clearly in your heads, you will realize why I keep saying this is a VERY BIG FIGHT which the BJP does not want us to understand, let alone win.
It is highly possible that after the Delhi Assembly Elections, the BJP may announce the suspension of the CAA to end protests. But, they will not stop the implementation of NPR or NRC. They will delay this to make it seem that they were worn out by our protests. But this will only be a tactical move.
People will realize that suspension is not withdrawal and may not accept it. But it is very likely many of the protestors will accept the suspension as victory and go back home, thus weakening our movement. The CAA will make a comeback later, because it is still a law. They may even say they will withdraw the law and later change their mind.
This is why I say again that this a VERY BIG FIGHT and will have to continue fighting even if the CAA is actually withdrawn or abrogated. Many will tell you that the Supreme Court will declare it illegal and unconstitutional. But just day before, the SC has given four weeks to the government to reply and have refused to stay the law despite our protests. Recent judgements and the fact that the SC had delayed the hearing of many important petitions and chose to give first priority to Sabrimala should not give us too much hope. The courts are no longer free, they haven’t been so since 2014.
Coming to the other point I want to make today, we must understand the RSS agenda of Hindu Rashtra and read their history. They did not participate in the freedom struggle or approve of the national flag. They never approved of our National Anthem either but now tell you to respect the flag and stand up to the National Anthem. They hated Gandhi but have readily appropriated him into their agenda to give legitimacy to their movement by misquoting him on several occasions for their own advantage. They reveal their repeatedly by worshipping Godse, Gandhi’s assassin and another accused Veer Savarkar. Their agenda is to make India a Police State – very similar to Nazi Germany. After all, Gowalkar, their mentor, appreciated Mussolini and Hitler – including the way Hitler gassed the Jews.
Their Hindu Rashtra plan was activated with the demolition of Babri Masjid and the genocide of 2002 in Gujarat. BJP/RSS and associated Sanghs now wish to further it with CAA, NPR and NCR. They do these things one step at a time. The removed Triple Talaaq and the people either cheered or were silent. They abrogated Section 370 and again the people either cheered or were silent. They charged people with sedition and put many in jail, they lynched Dalits and Muslims for killing cows and the people either cheered or were silent. What they did not expect however, was that CAA/NRC/NPR would become the last straw.
Do you want to know how they won the 2014 Lok Sabha elections? The BJP has been aware that the tolerant Hindu has nursed a dormant hatred towards the Muslims, also fanned by RSS’ constant and silent brainwashing of people. By formally announcing their anti-Muslim position through the atrocious comments made by politicians like Yogi, Pragya Thakur, Sakshi Maharaj, and countless others, they awakened that dormant hatred and won their votes.
On the CAA and NRC, they will keep telling you that this protest is only a Muslim protest, show pictures of women in black burqas and men with the skull cap and long beards minus moustache to create more hatred. This ensures their blind bhakts remain with them and add a few more who are fence sitters. They will keep telling lies about JNU and the Tukde Tukde gang, Jamia and AMU, about the decreased population of West Pakistan and make the atmosphere unbearably communal and polarised. This hatred for Muslims is there in our own families even if we individually are secular.
It is true that our protests have achieved many successes in a short time. We have, at least in NON-GODI media and in the International Media, removed the false claims that these protests are only Muslim Protests and were violent. Enough video and other evidence has come out to prove that the violence was mostly initiated by BJP and RSS moles, with full support of the Police – in Delhi as well as in UP. Today the protests have people from all religions and castes, and this has done us all proud. The only thing I will ever thank Modi and Shah for, is for uniting us Indians, all 62.64% of us. We who believe in the Indian Constitution and its hallowed values of equality of status and dignity.
Eleven states have opposed CAA and NRC and a couple have said they will not implement it despite the law saying they will have to. If more say the same, there will be a break-down of the constitution. Internationally Modi’s image has been dented but he is unwilling to change his stance despite the economy going down in free fall.
I will conclude by saying that the protests across our great nation are leaderless protests and history reveals that leaderless protests can fizzle out with time or be hijacked by the wrong people. It happened to the Arab Spring, the Occupy Wall Street movement, etc. But we have the leaderless Hong Kong movement to take inspiration from. The Shaheen Bagh movement has floored the BJP by protesting non-violently and continuously for over 40 days. They displayed the national flag and preamble of our constitution, carried pictures of Ambedkar, Gandhi and Bhagat Singh and sang the National Anthem.
We have to fight beyond CAA/NRC/NPR and expose the total agenda of the BJP, RSS and their affiliated Sanghs. We must protest against poor handling of the economy, high unemployment, farmers’ suicides, atrocities against Dalits, crimes against women, soaring prices, their bloody lynching sprees! Hitler broke the German economy, Modi has broken our economy…and what is the answer to be given to that? Go back home Modi, go back home!
We want Azaadi from this imposed deprivation.
THE PLATFORM NEEDS TO BE BROADENED TO KEEP IT GOING UNTIL THE PEOPLE – THE 62.64% – FINALLY UNITE UNDER ONE UMBRELLA TO VOTE THIS FASCIST GOVERNMENT OUT OF POWER. THIS MEANS OUR PROTESTS MUST CONTINUE TILL 2024, VIGOROUSLY, TO ALLOW THEM NO TIME TO FURTHER THEIR AGENDA.
Can we do it? Yes, we can, provided we keep aside our religious, personal, political differences and unite as one. Can we have a Shaheen Bagh in Goa. Yes, we can. We need involvement of the Goans and their willingness to sacrifice their time without hesitation because every Goan will be affected. Never forget, we are 62.64% of the people who never voted for Modi and BJP. This is totally unlike Germany when over 80% voted and supported Hitler.
WITH TOTAL AND RESOUNDING UNITY, WE CAN DO ANYTHING & EVERY THING EVERY THING AND ANYTHING.
