Over a 1,000 million tons of onions are being bought from the National Agriculture Co-operative Marketing Federation. Max limit for ration card holder will be 3 kg.

Action is likely to be taken against Bollywood’s major player of Karan Johar Dharma Production which has been dumping waste including PPE and other hazardous material in Nerul village in Goa during film shooting. The birds here and a foul smell alerted Nerul villagers who promptly put out disgusting photographs of the mess the Karan Johan Dharma Production people left on social media. CLIMATE CHANGE
Goa’s temperature will rise by 2 degrees C by 2030. From the beginning of the 20th century it was predicted that there will be a 2 deg C hike in Goa’s main average annual temperature which increased by 1 deg C since the beginning of the 20th century. The annual rainfall has increased by 68% between 1901 and 2015. The monsoon has finally withdrawn after the State received the highest rainfall of the century at 165.4 inches of rain. The National Green Tribunal has refused to grant relief to this popular Saturday night market at Arpora from a demolition order issued against them by The Coastal Zone Management Authority Management Authority. Reportedly the market is being accused of carrying out business on non-development zone at the edge of low-lying tidal creek grounds. The market owners are also being accused of illegally filling and encroaching on public creek/nallah land here.
