In its latest move the GCCI Women’s Wing is offering all SHG women an online portalor website platform to retail their products ranging from snacks to cosmetic jewelry, fashion attire, anything – if you’re a women doing a start-up business all you have to do is register for free at myshop.digitalbaila.com and also benefit from guidance on how to go about presenting and marketing yourself digitally. Believe it or not but reportedly there are 50,000 women engaged in small businesses attached to the Self-Help Groups of Goa.
Present at the launch function at the GCCI conference hall in Panaji on Friday, December 11, 2020 was first lady Sulakshana Sawant. She comes across as warm and friendly and definitely a digitally y savvy teacher who teaches chemistry and connects online with her teenage students. After all these are Covid-19 times, she smiled to a query, and admitted “there’s poor digital connection in rural areas but I have been able to communicate with my students so far, we try to help by providing mobile phones when required.”
