HINDU ROADS NOW?

HINDU ROADS NOW?

HINDU ROADS NOW?
WHAT a clandestine change in re-naming road names! I was surprised to see a new name for the old University road at Dona Paula which was named after famous cancer surgeon Dr E Borges. There was no debate in Assembly, no demand by local population before the name was change. I protest this high-handed attitude . I have nothing against saint Ambiye after whom the road is now named but am against sudden changes in road names. By changing names we not change history. Moreover, Dr Ernesto Borges road was fittingly named after an eminent cancer doctor in India and where Manipal hospital stands today there once stood a cancer hospital. I would like to ask if there is an agenda behind re-naming roads secretly?
Before changing the name of any road an official notification has to be issued as per standard procedure. Has this notification been issued or is this a surreptitious way to sidetrack and throw the rule book away? Government must give justification for not adhering to the rule.
