RETALIATION: The 700-strong police force stationed at Melaulim village were chased away by a 200-strong group of women protestors! The police struck back with a brutal lathi charge in which many of the women were injured. There are also reports that Shailendra Velingkar, the son of former RSS chief Subhash Velingkar, was arrested as brutally assaulted in police custody so much so that reportedly his hearing has been affected.
