The TOI which claims to be the largest paper in India if not in the Universe has turned to health to generate revenue.

Three major European company Germany, Italy and France have suspended AstraZeneca vaccine commonly known as the Covishield vaccine made in India by the Serum Institute.

It is the most popular of the vaccines being administered in Goa. Senior citizens above the age of 60 are infact putting up pictures of themselves on facebook taking the vaccine. Among the celebraty who took the vaccine the late Laxman Pai, a famous artist and the first Principal of the art college. It is a co-incidence that the late Laxman Pai died soon after his pictures appeared on facebook taking the vaccine at the Manipal Hospital.

The European countries Germany Italy and France have banned the use of Covishield AstraZeneca vaccine made in colabartion with Oxford university after several countries reported possible serious side affects.

The side effect including bleeding, blood clots and a low platelet count. Spain has also suspended the use of Astra vaccine for 15 days though the World Health Organisation has urged the world not to stop. As of March 12 more than 300 million doses of Astra vaccine have been administered around the world.

The company has claimed Astra, that there is no connection between the reports of blood clots and the vaccine. They have said that there is no clear evidence that the primary vaccine being administered in India is not safe.

However those who are rushing to take the vaccine should take medical opinion before doing so,
