SHANTA: Goa has its own temples of Shantadurga, the goddess of peace. The Durga of peace and unity. We do not need to import the Kali avatar of goddess Durga from Kolkata! We do not need Trinamool to win a government in Goa. Goans rejected merger with Maharashtra. Goans will not allow Goan asmitai to be destroyed by Prashant Kishor and Raul Fernandes.

Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) Prashant Kishor, like Harshad Mehta, has made a mistake by thinking he can take the Goan people for a ride. With the help of Raul Fernandes, owner of `OHeraldO’ – the paper editor Rajan Narayan quit because he could no longer act like a dalal cutting deals for Raul, the final time over a casino license. This time around it is consulting editor Sujoy Gupta, earlier with NDTV, who is playing power broker. But do Goans want a goddess Durga Kali in Goa when they have their very own goddess of peace Shanta Durga?

GOA does not need the blood-thirsty goddess Kali, the fierce, vengeful form of the goddess Durga in Hinduism which which Mamata-didi and the Trinamool Congress swear by. Goa does not want the kind of goondagiri which everyone in West Bengal is now terrified of being at the mercy of. Goans do not want their peace and harmony in the state to be disturbed into a hell by hired gunmen like famous political strategist Prashant Kishor and his pack of jackals.
Goa has its own much loved goddess of peace Shantadurga who has ruled and blessed Goa over the centuries. Goa’s saibinn Shantadurga is so unlike the Kolkata version of Kali-maa whose metaphorical brief is to seek battles and bloodshed. In comparison the Goan goddess Shantadurga is a peaceful deity worshipped as peace-loving and benign. Shantadurga is an avatar of goddess Durga but this goddess or much worshipped deity has been the basis of the communal harmony that Goa has enjoyed before and after Liberation. Indeed, even before Liberation and all through the Portuguese colonial rule of 450 years.
In Goa, Hindus, Catholics and Muslims have been staying together not just in friendship but in mog (love) of each other’s religious worship. There has been only one minor communal riot in Goa, that is in 2006, and it was instigated by the BJP in opposition party then. It spread rumours that Muslims from Hubli had attacked Hindu shops in Sanvordem and Curchorem. The storm in tea-cup was over a small house in Guddemol-Curchorem which was being used by local Muslims as a madrassa.

MONEY POWER NAKA!

GOA does not need an I-PAC or Prashant Kishor who practise the politics of money power. We already have our very own Babush Monserrate who can win a guaranteed five seats. But this Prashant Kishor is practising the politics of offering money to MLAs of other parties to join the Goa Trinamool Congress to win a Mamata-didi victory with the help of a Judas like Luizinho Faleiro who enjoyed the trust of Sonia Gandhi for years and years. Goa does not need any more Judas betrayals. Nor does Goa need a godi media newspaper which has sold itself to a Prashant Kishor. Goa does not need a Sujay Gupta who is worse than the screaming Arnab Goswami of the Modi-funded Republic TV.
Goa does not need a kharedi yatra with money bags flashing to induce not just politicians but respected authors like N Shivdas and tiatr directors like Tony Dias. Goa does not need a football team. It has enough very talented football players and they do not need Prashant Kishor to offer them pensions as politicians in vile political games he engages in.
Goa does not need a Bengali party from West Bengal to form the government in Goa. Does Prashant Kishor think Goans are fools to accept the Goa Trinamool Congress with open arms? Prashant Kishor should read my book on Triumph of Secularism’ on the Opinion Poll of Goa, which is available on our website goanobserver.in. Prashant Kishor is foolish enough to believe that a state which said No to merger with Maharashtra, its neighbouring state, to now permit a state from the distant east coast of India, that is West Bengal, to colonize Goa. Goa was not liberated from Portuguese colonial rule to come under the domination of the Trinamool Congress of West Bengal. This would be like the East India Company which ruled India for several centuries from the then Calcutta to now make a come-back. Narendra Modi and Nitin Gadkari have already handed over golden Goa to Gautam Adani. Whose coal transportation via Goa to Karnataka is blackening the face of Goa. Goa has no love for the Bengali fish hilsa with its millions of tiny bones and very little meat. Goa has its own wide variety of fish ranging from mackerel to shellfish, and fat prawns and crabs too. Nor does Goa need the mishti doi of Bengali sweet shops. Goa has bol sans rival (the cake without rival made from almonds and caju) and nothing can match the seven-layered bebinca of Goa. I WAS the founder of the English version ofOheraldo.’ It was I as editor of the paper, and not Raul Fernandes, who fought for the rights of mother tongue Konkani as the official language. I was supported by the late AC Fernandes, Raul’s father, who dared to take on corrupt politicians like the former Speaker in the Legislative Assembly of Goa, Dayanand Narvekar, who allegedly molested an 18-year-old girl working in his office. It was I, along with Prashanti Talpankar who went on an indefinite hunger strike, who forced Narvekar to resign.
My reward was being beaten up with iron rods which left me crippled for five years. It was I, who broke the back of the gangs in Goa, and put pressure on Chief SMinister Ravi Naik to arrest them under the National Security Act, and this included Rudolf Fernandes whose mother was “Mummy Dearest” Victoria Fernandes, I also took on Churchill Alemao and Bros. Confirm this with former SP Umesh Gaonkar if you wish. Who openly told the Director General of Police that I was the only journalist who fought goondagiri in Goa in the 90s.

MAMATA FOR PM

I HAVE the greatest respect for Mamata-didi. It took guts to prevent the Tata Group from taking over farming land in Nandigram and Singur. It took guts to take over West Bengal ruled by the CPI for 34 years and recently Narendra Modi. She did it without the help of Prashant Kishor!
What Prashant Kishor forgets is that he is only a pawn in the deadly games of thrones. In the game of chess the players always sacrifices the pawn to protect the queen who in this case is Mamata-didi, who will drop Prashant Kishor and I-PAC if they fail to win a majority in the upcoming LA elections in Goa in February 2022.
Goans will not vote for Prashant Kishor’s party. The leader of the I-PAC who struck a deal with a most corrupt politician of Goa, Luizinho Faleiro. Who bought over the front page of the `OHeraldo’ from godi media. I must apologise to the people of Goa because some political monsters were created by me. I had taken a Portuguese paper and turned it into the most powerful newspaper in Goa for 20 years till 2001.
Raul Fernandes has not even lived in Goa for any length of time. He preferred live in the Philippines and elsewhere to escape the many cases filed against him, including a demand from his separated wife for 50% of her share of rightful property. He enjoys the reputation of allegedly cheating dozens of women and physically molesting them with the bait of marriage. There is a case pending against Raul Fernandes for buying stolen printing equipment. No owner of any newspaper has behaved as irresponsibly as Raul Fernandes.
Amka Naka Kali Mata. Amka Naka Luizinho Faleiro, Amka Naka Raul Fernandes. Amka Naka Sujay Gupta. We hope the people of Goa will reject all the parties coming to Goa to convert fertile, water-rich, agricultural and coastal paradise Goa into a concrete jungle of high rise slums. Go back to Kolkata Trinamool Congress and worship Maa Kali Durga there, leave Goa alone to worship saibinn Shantadurga, she is Goa’s very own much cherished mother goddess of peace and love, Goans will worship only her!
