GOA’S most prominent chain of supermarkets — Magsons Supercenter with its 11 outlets – has now touched another milestone with the opening of yet store, the Magsons Gourmet Superstore. It is located down Chogm Road and offers a wide range of fresh food products with a number of quality services.
Connoisseurs and every day shoppers may find a range of fresh fruit and vegetables here as well as gourmet and premium offerings, poultry and meat, a vast array of local, foreign foods and beverages – all displayed efficiently. For Porvorim shoppers the new Magsons Gourmet Supercentre is a one-stop destination like few others.
The inauguration of the new Magsons was done by Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte, who cut the ceremonial ribbon in the presence of family and friends of Magsons on December 5, 2021. The ceremony was also open to the general public with cartoon characters of Donald, Mickey and Winnie seen entertaining excited children and parents alike. Inauguration day itself received an overwhelming response of around 500 shoppers anxious to avail of the benefit of 3% discount introductory offer on shopping and enrolling for the Magsons Loyalty program. This offer is open till December 15, 2021.
Magsons at this Porvorim branch is spread over two floors and there is bright and calming lighting, with classic melodies playing. Staff is trained to be friendly and helpful so that their shopping experience is hassle free and they get help if they’re looking for something in particular. Take a look at the frozen products range here in vegetarian and non-veg categories which are ready-to-fry, ready-to-cook, ready-to-eat.
The lower level of the store has an exclusive fresh cold cut section serving slivers of all kinds of salami, ham, meat cuts and Magsons has the widest variety of cheeses local and imported. A special interest addition on the Upper floor is a special Health and Wellness section stocked with serving sugar-free, gluten-free, lactose-free, organic and Vegan produce. To be added soon will be wine, beer and all kinds of liquor and liqueurs.
Speaking on the occasion of the inauguration was Mrs Andrea Maganlal, who confessed this opening this Porvorim outlet had been the most challenging so far for them, she guaranteed, “The range of offering at Porvorim will outperform all other stores mainly because at MAGSONS we have always believed in thinking out of the box and leading by creating our niche in exclusive offerings. We shall be offering door-to-door drop facilities to all customers in the surrounding areas and plans are afoot to introduce the Magsons on-line shopping App.”
Speaking on the occasion the MLA Rohan Khaunte complimented the management for bringing Magsons to Porvorim, he said that this was a long felt need of the area and he expressed confidence that consumers would greatly benefit from the new Magsons Gourmet Supercentre at Porvorim. Earlier in the week Parish Priest of Porvorim Fr Caetano Fernandes had blessed the store. The new Magsons store is situated at Landscape City, Chogm Road and is ready to offer the treats of Christmas time with traditional delicacies, exciting discounts and joyful activities through the rest of the festive month of December.
