SONIA DYNASTY BACK!
THE Sonia Gandhi dynasty of Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi are back in power. The newly elected Congress President Mallarjun Kharge is perceived as an unabashed devotee of the Gandhi family. However, Kharge hails from the backward classes and has been a Congress leader in the Lok Sabha of long standing. In the Congress presidential elections for the first time in the party’s history, for a non-dynasty chief, it is Kharge who won by a huge margin of 8,000 votes with his rival Shashi Tharoor winning only 1000 votes. Allegations are that it is Kharge who had the support of Sonia Gandhi and her children Rahul and Priyanka. Whether Kharge is president only name is left to be seen. The stick is still in the hands of Sonia Gandhi.

PANAJI DIWALI
THERE is still talk and lot of unhappiness over Babush Monserrate not giving any funds, at least openly, for Narkasur events in Panaji. This was confirmed by Sudhin Dhavalikar who congratulated Babush on his decision. In Goa the focus has always been on burning Narkasur and not the worship of Lord Krishna who won a victor of the demon king who had in captivity allegedly 64,000 women prisoners. Legend has it that he freed all the women and married them so as not to make them suffer from the stigma of being widows.
