The theme was: “National Education Policy 2020,  Salient Features of Higher Education” for higher secondary school principals and teachers.

Manoj Savaikar also praised the college for taking the initiative in being a pioneer in enlightening HSS teachers, on the structure and implementation of NEP 2020 at the level of higher education. ADANI STILL RED!

CONTRARY to claims by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the Adani group losses over a ten-day session of the stock exchange are still 46%, the most dramatic fall has been in the case of Adani power where  net income fell by 96%. The much-talked-about hydrogen project for generating power stopped as the foreign collaborator partner has totally withdrawn energy. A breach of privilege motion has been moved against Rahul Gandhi for his insistence that Narendra Modi and Gautam Adani are partners.

MAKE COWS YOUR VALENTINE!

THE Animal Welfare Board of India has asked all couples to hug cows on Valentine’s Day instead of each other. This will give more significance to animals rights. We wonder whether Padmashri  Norma Alvares, president of the Animal Welfare Board, will follow its advice and hug a cow instead of her hubby Claude Alvares!

EMIs GO UP AGAIN!

THE Reserve Bank of India has raised the EMI rates which will result in an increase in the equated monthly instalment. The  EMI lists that on a loan of Rs50 lakh the EMI will go up from Rs37,000 to Rs47,000. On a loan of Rs1 crore the EMI will go up from Rs75,000 to Rs90,000. There may be some relief in the panel rates of banks for delayed payments of EMI to be reduced.

MHADEI DIVERSION

AN expert panel is being appointed to study the Mhadei river diversion. This is like closing the stable doors after the horses have bolted. The Karnataka government has already got approval and the funds and the monster works to divert the headwaters of the Mhadei river to the Malaprabha river basin in Karnataka. South Goa Congress MP Francisco Sardinha has tilted towards BJP generously saying that Mhadei waters may be shared with Karnataka for drinking purposes only.
