The guarantees of Lord Ram do not work in Goa. There are not many Goans who have read the Ramayana or the Mahabharata. There are very few Goans who have read the Bhagavad Gita. Goa has its own Gods and goddesses. Goa is the land of Mangeshi and Shanta Durga. Goa is the land of the Bhoothnath temple. The tribal of Goa have their gods. Goa is the land of St Francis Xavier. Goa is the land which has the oldest mosque, the Safi Masjid at Ponda.  Very few Goans went to Ayodhya to participate in the demolition of the Babri Masjid. It’s only now known that late Manohar Parrikar was the leader of the group that went to Ayodhya. Manohar Parrikar himself kept his visit to Ayodhya during the demolition of the Babri Masjid a closely guided secret. Goa is the land which has maintained communal harmony ever since liberation in 1961.

There is no “nafrat ki dukaan” in Goa. All communities have lived in harmony in Goa. There was never been any major communal riot in Goa. There is been no violence against the majority community. The Christian and Muslim communities have never been harassed in Goa. Modiji ki guarantee does not cover the Christian and Muslim minority communities. Modi does not guarantee that the nafrat ki dukaan will not open in Goa. He does not guarantee equal opportunity for the minority communities. Modi does not guarantee freedom of worship to the minority communities. Modi does not guarantee that Goans will be allowed to eat any food of their choice including beef. Modi does not guarantee that Muslims and Catholics will not be targeted for storing and eating beef.

Only the constitution guarantees the fundamental riots of all gods. Including the minorities and the migrants. Modi cannot guarantee that the roads dug up in the capital city will be repaired. Modi cannot guarantee the quality of work done by the smart city contractors. Modi cannot guarantee that the smart city CEO gives contracts to reliable parties. Modi cannot guarantee that the people of Panaji can live in peace. The Goa Bench of the Bombay HC has said that the roads of Panaji are a nightmare. There is no guarantee from Modi that the Goa government will work for the welfare for all Goa and Goans. Only the constitution can guarantee love and respect towards all communities equally. Hindu Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and Parsis equally. Defend Goa demand constitutional guarantees for the people of Goa. Close down the dukaan’s of hate.
