THE MYSTERY OF GOING BALD!

XOGEN THERAPY FOR HAIR REGENERATION NOW IN GOA! Courtesy Dr Batra clinics. In the media presentation in Panaji both Dr Akshay Batra and his father Dr Mukesh Batra were present as seen in the picture above. According to Dr Mukesh Batra in his Instagram post: “The new treatment aims to solve hereditary hair loss using a potent formulation and is clinically proven to show visible results in just three months. This cutting-edge innovative treatment represents the next generation of regenerative aesthetics and introduces the most advanced solution in the field of hair restoration and cellular regeneration.
XOGEN’s exosome therapy offers a natural and state-of-the-art approach to hair loss, elevating the science and safety of hair restoration. The process begins with the release of growth factor-rich exosomes, which migrate to targeted areas of the scalp, where they locate and latch onto damaged hair cells. Upon absorption into the hair follicles, the exosomes activate hair follicle stem cells and promote cellular regeneration. Launched in Goa, this is now available at all our 200+ clinics across the country.” Picture depicts (L to R) Dr Akshay Batra, Dr Mukesh Batra and Margao representative of Dr Batra’s clinic Dr Gratel Fernandes.

NOWADAYS we worry about so many things to do with body beautiful. If it’s not about putting on gross amounts of weight, it may be the mess on our face and skin, or the loss of our hair…hair is something desirable in some places but not at all in some places! Such vanity issues determine happiness issues and may be deeply distressing. Just to take the loss of hair here, if we’re losing our hair literally and that too prematurely don’t we want to find out why, why, why and get back our lost hair?
There are always reasons of course and if you ask India’s trichologist Dr Akshay Batra, famous son of even more famous father Dr Mukesh Batra (of homeopathy solutions fame and fortune), he will tell you many stories about hair loss and what to do about it. Most startling of all, do you know that teenagers may pluck their hair and eat it? It’s a psychologically disturbed or schizophrenic patient’s affliction and it’s called trichophagia or trichotillomania, all this and much more, enough to make you want to go look up hair for answers to many vanity solutions or so to speak.
At a press conference-cum-presentation held in Panaji on September 10, 2024 Dr Akshay Batra clued up media people about how hair loss affects most of us and the latest technology for hair loss — the exosome-based hair regeneration treatment which redresses many causes of hair loss. We learn that there’re something like 40 reasons why we may be losing our hair and for many of us there is hope to rectify the problem causing us loss of sleep and much else maybe…first you have to find out the cause of hair loss and then proceed to find out what is responsible.
Not surprisingly, Dr Akshay Batra confirms it could be only two things: Either we’re not eating right or we’re stressed out leading a horrible lifestyle. Only two factors play a big role in a lot of things including hair loss. It is either hereditary or hormonal or both and there are many ways to treat hair loss, the most common so far as been the surgical-styled hair transplantation method which can be a very painful experience.

YOUNG INDIA IS BALDING
DR Akshay Batra’s video presentation was full of valuable insight about hair loss and he says young India is really going bald, at his company’s clinics, that is at Dr Batra’s, they’re seeing young people in their teens and 20s seeking solutions for hair loss. We’re all emotional when it comes to hair loss for it’s also a social issue; for example, on a lighter note but so true – you may fail to get a job in marketing or for that matter even get a life partner to marry and raise a family – all because you have no hair to show with any distinction. It’s also true that young and not so old people today waste time in hair saloons ruining their hair and scalp with all kinds of heat and other treatments — avoid all, says Dr Akshay Batra firmly.
However, with the aim of treating hair loss problems Dr Batra’s now bring some cutting edge Xogen (pronounced X-ogen) therapy which is the first of its kind to redress scalp hair tragedies. At Dr Batra’s clinics they are now offering what is considered the world’s most advanced treatment for hair regeneration, that is the Xogen treatment, a nano-targeted hair growth treatment which shows visible results in three months.
It’s a non-surgical, painless procedure unlike other hair transplantation treatments which are now obsolete or so it would seem. The new exogen therapy targets hair follicles directly to promote new hair growth and a healthier scalp. It may be remembered that Dr Batra’s is the world’s largest chain of homeopathic clinics (200 at last count the country over and abroad too more international clinics are on the cards) and they’ve now introduced the most advanced exosome-based treatment at its clinics in Goa too.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
KEY question. How much does this new technology for hair re-growth cost? Dr Akshay Batra replied to the question, “About Rs6,000 per session with over 10 to 20 sessions of 30 to 35 minute duration on an average. You will see visible results after four sessions itself and it’s a painless therapy, there are no side effects…the total cost may add up to Rs15 lakh. But this exosome-based therapy is a 100 times more effective.”
The catch is of course that you may not be the ideal candidate for it. There are cases when no hair treatment works and you may have to make the most of your bald status. We know that with hair loss too it’s not just one thing but a gamut of things which count for total wellbeing of body beautiful, including whether you have a healthy crowning glory of hair or not…there’s so much to hair!
Dr Akshay Batra has lots of fascinating tidbits to share if he has time to talk to you in a personal interview! But speaking later on in an aside over a cup of tea and when asked about his own crop of gleaming black curly hair, he sportingly offered, “Here, touch my hair, pull it…see, it’s all mine!” He confesses to being passionate about hair, it’s his one love in life and that’s why early on he decided to specialize in the science of hair that is trichology. He is the He’s the vice-chairperson and managing director of Dr Batra’s Healthcare and the first Indian president of The Trichological Society of London (UK).
He reiterates that it is alarming that young India is going bald and there are reasons for it, some of which may be rectified, “Hair loss issue has become a critical issue in India for both men and women, leading to social stigma, loss of confidence, depression, etc. Some studies indicate that the onset of pattern baldness has decreased to 21 years while another study indicates it’s 50% in men and 22 % in women who also suffer from pattern baldness respectively.”

XOGEN THERAPY
AT Dr Batra’s they excited about introducing the ground-breaking treatment of XOGEN therapy which represents the future of hair restoration. This is exosome therapy, the latest innovation harnessing the power of regenerative science and it’s safer, more natural, highly effective for hereditary hair loss.
What are exosomes? They’re “messenger molecules…designed to regulate immune responses, reduce inflammation, and create an environment conducive to healthy hair growth…exosomes help stimulate the formation of new blood vessels, a process known as angiogenesis.” This enhances blood flow and nutrient supply to the hair follicles to support hair growth. At Dr Batra’s they believe in combining the best of science with holistic practices and “Xogen is a testament to that vision.” It is his father Dr Mukesh Batra’s vision which he tries to live up too.
Don’t get it wrong, if their testing indicates that the new treatment won’t work for a patient, they will not recommend it and they do turn away patients at their clinics if they can do nothing for them! Needless to say the Dr Batra’s success story of homeopathy in combo with other advanced technologies is well known now and Dr Mukesh Batra, his father, needs no introduction anymore for he is also one of India’s philanthropists besides being a dedicated pioneering homeopath. His son Dr Akshay Batra works in tandem with him to grow the business happily ever after.
In conclusion and amongst other interesting tidbits gleaned during the media presentation, and chatting with Dr Akshay Batra afterwards: Age and quality of a person’s health counts when it comes to the newly introduced hair regeneration treatment; there’re 14 growth factors which count…the usual reasons for balding scalps are anemia, bad nutrition, stress is a major factor, a shortage of B12, smoking, vaping, terrible lifestyles all around, all this adds up to hair and skin problems when it comes to body beautiful.
In fact, if you do all the tests on a sample of your hair it can reveal many things about what’s ailing you. Hair preserves history longer than even blood which is tested in post-mortems, “Hair cells are the fastest growing cells in the body!” It is only when things go wrong and along with aging a slow-down sets in…study trichology, the science of hair, if you want to understand all this. It’s a most fascinating science. Sure, at Dr Batra’s Homeopathy clinics they’re combining homeopathy medicines with hair treatments for redressing stress issue of patients and according to Dr Mukesh Batra, who was present throughout the media presentation, they do get good results. You solve stress, many other problems too get solved.
