HERE’S ELECTRONIC HUB!

Minister for Tourism, Information & Technology, Printing and Stationery Rohan Khaunte (government of Goa) inaugurated Electronic Hub, Upgrade Your Home, Goa’s Smart Appliance Destination with a ribbon cutting in the presence of Shamsher Dhamani, Shafeerali Dhamani, parents Haiderali Dhamani, Dilshad Dhamani, family and friends on September 26, 2024. Since its humble beginnings, ten years ago, with just one store and two staff members, Electronic Hub has blossomed into a leading name in electronics and home appliances and much more.

THIS IS THE PITS!
WE don’t know whether the Smart City roadworks will ever be over but Panjim’s inner roads are in a terrible state and for two-wheelers it’s become a deadly play of wits to take these inner roads and lanes…for whoever is going around shoving this red stone slurry into potholes, are doing such an inept and unprofessional job of it, that the way turns into a death trap of slippery rocks and watery slurry.
It is dicey and impossible to negotiate these inner streets and lanes all around Panaji and as we discovered this morning while out for a bit of shopping for essentials, take the case especially of Caranzalen lane areas around St Michael’s church, where Delphino’s mart is and right down to Charmunda Residency-DG Marg…don’t even try to negotiate these lanes if you’re on a two-wheeler.
Quite simply the inner lanes are deadly and never has the so called city of Panjim been in such a sorry state — a testimony to its shameless rubbish city fathers. Who cares, anyone cares? These days I dread to go out on my two-wheeler yet I have to go for buying essentials. I spend so much time thinking which route to take to the market and invariably end up taking the Campal promenade and changing my mind several times about which inner road to take to reach my destination. Not only do I waste costly petrol but my two-wheeler suffers with charges for repairs every now and again and this is an almost brand new bike, barely two years old, looks like it’s ancient now even after much expensive servicing!
