LETTER TO THE EDITOR FOR ISSUE DATED OCTOBER 26 2024

US SUPREME COURT: COVID VACCINES ARE NOT VACCINES!

THIS should be of interest to us in India. In a recent judgement the US Supreme Court has stated that the Covid vaccines are not vaccines. The complainant Robert F Kennedy Jr won his case against all pharmaceutical lobbies with this latest ruling, according to a Fox News report in the American media.

Covid19 vaccines are not vaccines. In its decision the Supreme Court of US confirmed that the damage caused by covid mRNA gene therapies is irreparable. As the highest court in the US there are no further appeals and all avenues of appeal have been exhausted now. In a statement Robert F Kennedy highlighted that this success was only possible thanks to the international cooperation of a large number of lawyers and scientists. It is clear that this decision constitutes an international precedent.

Especially in Switzerland, this ruling should have an impact, because Switzerland has a special position with its federal constitution. On the one hand, the Nuremberg code is contained in article 118-B of the constitution and, in Switzerland, the misuse of genetic engineering in humans is prohibited under article 119 of the federal constitution. This prohibition is complemented by article 230-A of the Swiss Criminal Code, which means that offenders risk a prison sentence of up to 10 years.

However, this historic judgment should also give pause to the rest of the world, because the Nuremberg code has international validity and is also contained in Article 7 of the International covenant on civil and Political Rights.

In the case of criminal charges, the statement should refer to the Contergan scandal in order to give special weight to the importance of such charges or allegations. German lawyer Rainer Fullmich and more than 100 other German lawyers are actively involved in these cases. None of the media talks about the issue, neither in Switzerland nor in Europe. Unfortunately, it is almost mathematical that, in the case of a disruptive issue capable of altering the financial and economic plans of the powerful lobbies in the  pharmaceutical sector, public opinion is not informed. We are in the middle of a promotional campaign aimed at encouraging people to get vaccinated and then re-vaccinated in light of the upcoming winter.

It is very likely that, if news of the historic trial does get out, it will do so belatedly, to allow the corrupt medical profession, aligned with the position of the pharmaceutical lobbies, to make as much progress as possible with the vaccination campaign.

We, therefore, invite all honest people of good will to give maximum publicity to this historic decision of the Us Supreme court, for our own good, but above all for the good of our children and grandchildren…Let us not let the lobbyists irreparably ruin our health and put our lives in danger. Let us promote rebellion against the dirty and unpublished business of death. CONDEMN THIS VIOLENCE!

I STRONGLY condemn the assassination of senior NCP (Ajit Pawar Group) leader and ex-Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddiquee who was gunned down very recently in Mumbai on the onset of the Assembly Polls in BJP-ruled Maharashtra. There should be zero space for violence in our democratic polity.

OLD SECRETARIAT IN SAD STATE

THE old secretariat of Goa, a significant heritage site and former Adil Shah Palace, is in a state of alarming disrepair. The deterioration poses serious risks to those who work there, conduct music classes, and visit the museum located on the ground level.

Recent observations reveal severe structural issues: collapsing ceilings, peeling paint, and a dilapidated wooden roof in both the museum and the surrounding corridors. This neglect is particularly concerning given the regular influx of tourists and children who visit the site, especially during the Serendipity festival.

The Kala Academy’s office and Western Classical Music classes have recently been relocated to the old Secretariat, further increasing foot traffic and highlighting the urgent need for repairs. It is disheartening to see such a culturally rich site, vital to Goa’s heritage, fall into such disrepair, while funds for other development projects are readily allocated.

The government of Goa must prioritize the maintenance of its heritage sites.  A dedicated budget and a commitment to expedite restoration  efforts are essential to preserve this landmark for future generations. It is essential to approach this with integrity and urgency to ensure that the old Secretariat remains a safe and welcoming space for all.

The ongoing neglect reflects poorly on our elected officials, who seem to prioritize short-term projects over the long-term preservation of our cultural assets. We urge the government to  recognize the significance of the old Secretariat and take immediate action to restore it to its former glory.

–Cecille Rodrigues, Goa
