Dr Francisco Colaco established his Echocardiography clinic over 45 years ago—at a time when Goa had barely any infrastructure for diagnosing heart conditions in adults, let alone in infants and children.

DOCTOR Colaco is a pioneer in paediatric echocardiography in Goa, vastly improving the accuracy of the diagnosis and management of congenital and acquired heart diseases in children. Very early on in profession as a doctor he recognized the need for an accurate and non-invasive method to evaluate cardiac function in paediatric patients, at a time when none of it was available in Goa. Understanding this need, he dedicated years of research and training to master the art.
It is Dr Colaco’s expertise and innovation in this field which provided other paediatricians in Goa with a vital tool for ongoing patient management. He introduced novel imaging techniques, brought in newer, more advanced machines, and he refined diagnostic protocols which significantly enhanced the accuracy and speed of cardiac diagnosis. This truly enabled timely and more effective interventions. Dr Colaco’s contribution empowered pediatricians to make informed decisions, leading to better clinical outcomes and improved quality of life for countless young patients.
Dr Colaco is very charitable and kind to needy patients and never allows financial constraints to prevent them from getting his much needed diagnosis! He loves to teach, educate and inspire young budding doctors. He is a gentleman human being and a doctor to the core, with a pleasing personality.
